We’re going to do the patriotic thing and have a bunch of people over for fine food, drink, and music, with a walk down to the riverfront park for fireworks. Gary’s made a crab dip so far, with plans for a Kalamata olive tapenade and a grilled eggplant thing with chips for appetizers, then around five we’ll do burgers and dogs (my own secret recipe for the burgers), plus lots of diet soda, Bass Ale (had to get the British in there somehow!), Harpoon IPA, Yuengling, and margaritas. There’s plenty of wine for the uppity folks who are too good for beer and ‘ritas.
We finally unloaded the tabletop from Wrappsody out of the trunk of my car. Drove over to my brother Sam’s in Stamford, CT this afternoon and picked up the table leg (where the hell did mine go?). It sure does look pretty. We sat at it for lunch this afternoon and I reminisced about all the meals I’d eaten at that very table. All the heart-to-hearts with Sam about everything. All of the soul-searching. All of the pain and tears. And it finally lives with me, part of my new life, my happy life. I miss that place. But I certainly don’t miss who I was.
I completely forgot to mention how much my new pdoc totally RAWKS! He gifted me with over a month’s worth of 80mg samples of Geodon. And will continue to do so, for as long as he is able. He also prorates his very expensive sessions, all the way down to a quarter of an hour. So I’m not paying for a full hour when we only need to quickly discuss my meds. Awesome!
I got some a little no cleaning done today, and have grocery shopping (more!) to do in the morning. Someone please save me from myself!

Yay for awesome docs who understand the insane costs of medicines today and help us out. My one rx is no where near very pricey (esp since i now have it as generic!) but my gyn has gone out of her way to give me some when she has it.

How can you be too good for margaritas? They’re the pinnacle of awesomeness! Beautiful table, and thank god for clinical samples and prorating. Hope your party went off without a hitch!
